Yoshitsune Kuruno (久留野 義経(くるの よしつね), Kuruno Yoshitsune) is one of the minor characters of Ryuuou no Oshigoto! series. He is a seasoned pro ranked 7-dan and the manager of the Research Club.

Plot

After Ai Hinatsuru beated Ayano Sadatou in the match, Kuruno was the next and second opponent of Ai. Playing with a 2-piece handicap, Kuruno set a lot of traps throughout the game, but Ai overcame them and won the match decisively. But, Akina Hinatsuru was unfazed by Ai’s accomplishment and Kuruno’s praise, her mind completely set on having Ai win the third match before allowing to enter the training group.

Etymology

• The name Yoshitsune means "righteous" (義) (yoshi) and "sutra, longitude, pass thru, expire, warp" (経) (tsune).
• Yoshitsune's surname Kuruno means "long time" (久) (ku), "detain, fasten, halt, stop" (留) (ru) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).
